The "gut-feeling" daily rate
You set your daily rate "by feel". You bill 500 €/day. The next client tells you "Not bad, I had 800 € in mind but fine, that works for me". Six months later you realize you left 60 k€ on the table.
Four profiles, four formats. One promise: learn SAP in the right order, with real people, not a catalog.
Technical blog, diagnostics and free tools. Everything is open access.
We teach what we do. On assignment in the morning, in training in the afternoon. That's what keeps every course current.
You've been thinking about it for 6 months. You read free blogs that say nothing specific. You've watched former colleagues go freelance and struggle through their first 12 months. This training gives you the serious step-by-step, not LinkedIn-coach content.
Honest heads-up: the training releases late 2026. Join the waitlist and I'll tell you how I'm building it.
No made-up stats here. Just the 3 scenarios we see most often among former SAP consultants who go freelance without any training.
You set your daily rate "by feel". You bill 500 €/day. The next client tells you "Not bad, I had 800 € in mind but fine, that works for me". Six months later you realize you left 60 k€ on the table.
You sign your first assignment. You don't read the contract (it's standard consultancy boilerplate, "it should be fine"). Six months later you discover a non-compete clause that locks you out of your main sector for 18 months.
You register as a micro-business (or the equivalent status in your country). You collect your first invoices without setting anything aside. In May of the following year, the contributions agency bills you 9 000 € for the past year. Panic.
No invented statistics. These 3 scenarios aren't extrapolated from a study. They're what we observe among the SAP freelance profiles we support, and what comes up in community feedback.
By the end, you know EXACTLY how much to bill for your profile, how to land your first 3 assignments, which legal structure to choose, and how to handle social contributions and accounting without panicking.
Module 1
A method to set your daily rate honestly by SAP module, years of experience, and city. Classic mistakes to avoid, client negotiation, yearly adjustment.
Module 2
Limited company vs sole proprietorship vs umbrella company. Calculating your real net income by status. Step-by-step setup of the structure you choose. Switching status as your revenue grows.
Module 3
An outreach method using LinkedIn, former colleagues, and platforms (Free-Work, Malt, Mindquest). Message templates that work for SAP freelancers.
Module 4
Quotes, invoices, payment reminders. The tools of the trade (Tiime, Indy, Freebe). GDPR-compliant archiving. A process so you don't drown in back-office work.
Module 5
How to set aside your social and tax charges every month depending on your country (FR, LU, BE, CH). When to hire an accountant. The yearly tax calendar to keep to.
Module 6
How to position yourself as an independent consultant. Negotiating the assignment contract. Managing the client relationship, knowing when to say no, selling the next assignment.
The final format (total length, live plus replay mode, cohort size) is still to be locked in before launch. Announced first to waitlist members.
Co-founder of Key User Training · SAP Logistics consultant at Ceratizit · Espresso Tutorials author
My first hands-on contact with SAP was in 2018, as a key user on the ERP implementation project on the maintenance side, while I was Methods Manager at Ceratizit. I became an SAP Logistics consultant at Ceratizit in 2020, after the project went live. Since then, I've mostly worked internally (S/4HANA, EWM).
In May 2022, I co-founded Key User Training alongside my role as an internal consultant. Since launching it, I also take external assignments through an arrangement with Ceratizit, mainly on PM and EWM (my two modules), and I collaborate on publishing with Espresso Tutorials on the EWM side. It's this double exposure (long-term internal consultant plus occasional external assignments) that I draw on to build this training: I'm not teaching theory, I'm building into the modules what I'm experiencing on the ground at the same time.
What I am: an internal SAP consultant who set up his own company to take assignments through an arrangement with his employer, and who openly shares what he learns, month after month.
What I'm not: a full-time freelancer of 10 years, a recruitment firm, a marketplace, or a LinkedIn coach selling four-figure dreams without ever having signed a single assignment.
I'm building this training to do it right, not fast. You'll get to see how it comes together, openly. That's what I'll be sharing with you while you wait for the release.
By signing up, you get the Key User Training Insiders community plus the reserved launch price plus the early enrollment-opening email. 0 commitment, unsubscribe in 1 click.
When you join the waitlist, you get early access to the community of future SAP freelancers: peer-to-peer exchanges, regular calls with me, on-the-ground feedback from established freelance guests.
You join a community of future SAP freelancers before you've even gone freelance yourself. You no longer go through the transition alone, you ask your questions to people who have already signed their first assignment.
On the agenda : peer-to-peer exchanges (daily rate questions, platform feedback, contract templates), live calls with me on the behind-the-scenes of the training, and occasional on-the-ground feedback from established freelance guests (3 to 5 years of independent experience).
Makes sense. While you wait for late 2026, two Key User Training resources move you forward right now.
A self-service SAP e-learning platform. Over 1000 resources, 6 languages, unlimited access. Work on your modules before the transition.
Pick up a niche skill (EWM, MES, advanced PP) with a short, focused course. Made by Key User Training.
We're not going to tell you success stories from Becoming a Freelancer students, since the training doesn't exist yet. Instead: the real numbers we have today, and 2 Trustpilot reviews from clients supported on external assignments through Key User Training (the two modules involved: PM and EWM).

Hookup in progress: we'll show the real number as soon as the waitlist is open. Two clients supported through Key User Training while I was building up the freelance experience on the side. Public Trustpilot reviews, verifiable.
I called on them for SAP expertise on a PM sub-module, rarely used, during a study and workshop phase, and they were available and rigorous. An end-to-end consulting approach, and I'm going to bring them in for the implementation part.
Key User training has provided excellent SAP training materials for the Espresso Tutorials SAP Learning Platform. The content is well thought out and expertly presented. The team is very competent and responsive.
Overall Key User Training reputation (career change program, SAP Build, micro-learnings catalog): proof of the firm's quality across the whole catalog. The testimonials specific to Becoming a Freelancer will come after launch, not before.
The 5 questions we get asked most often about the training and the waitlist. Direct answers, no beating around the bush.
Release is planned for late 2026. The exact date is announced to waitlist members first. No public date until the training is locked in, out of honesty: I'd rather announce a date I can keep than a marketing date.
Pricing is still to be locked in before launch. Waitlist members will get a reserved launch price, significantly cheaper than the public price, announced first by email. The price reflects the going market rate for freelance training (1500 to 3500 €) and the Key User Training positioning versus free blogs.
Michael Antoine (co-founder of Key User Training, SAP Logistics consultant at Ceratizit, taking occasional external assignments through an arrangement with his employer since 2022) leads it. Possibly 1 or 2 established SAP freelance guests for the specific modules (daily rate negotiation, legal structure with an independent accountant who knows the sector). No generic LinkedIn coaches.
You can. There are plenty of good blogs (Crystal Placement, expert-comptable-tpe, freelance-tjm.com, Free-Work). The problem: you'll spend 40 to 80 hours comparing them, and there are contradictions between sources. The training is the structured version, validated by a freelancer who has walked the path in SAP specifically. You pay to save time and avoid the 3 classic mistakes (gut-feeling daily rate, unread contract, contributions surprise).
No. No commitment at all. You get the 7-email behind-the-scenes sequence plus access to the Key User Training Insiders. If the training doesn't fit you at release (price, format, dates), you don't buy. Unsubscribe in 1 click from any email. No credit card collected until the training goes on sale.
